I have had the pleasure of testing out Blue’s Sadie Headphones recently and I have been impressed to say the least. Using the headphones brought back some nostalgic memories of when I was a child and I had over the head headphones plugged into my parents vinyl player with the music cranked up as loud as it could go.The headphones I used as a child were not of the same quality as what’s on offer here. Blue offer premium audio equipment and have equipped some major artists with their products over the years. The Sadie headphones, like the other headphones in their range, are a unique and quality design.
The packaging as you would expect has a premium feel. Included in the box are the following:
  • Blue Sadie Headphones
  • Drawstring travel case with cable storage pocket
  • 1.2-meter audio cable with Apple iPhone/iPad controls and microphone
  • 3 meter audio cable
  • 1 meter USB charging cable
  • 3.5mm to 1/4" adaptor
With Sadie, Blue have created a sleek and unique design. For the unique multi-jointed headband, Blue were inspired by the finely tuned suspension of a Formula One racecar when designing the headphones.
Sadie have truly created an innovative design. The headphones fit snugly on your head and block out any interference from the outside world. The headband can be adjusted to a variety of sizes and the cushioned earcups perfectly seal around your ear, for a comfortable and enjoyable listening experience.
With such a high spec set of headphones, you would expect them to be packed full of features and we are not disappointed:

Blue headphones are the first to have an audiophile amp built in. The amp really sets the headphones apart and delivers crystal clear audio. You have the option of three different listening experiences with three all-analog amp modes — including one that restores the low-end character to vinyl-era music.
Apart from the light that glows on the side of the headphones when they are turned on, which is really cool, a favourite feature of mine is that the headphones power down when removed and the earcups press together. This is a great power saving feature that really preserves the battery life.
All in all I really loved the headphones. Beautifully designed and offering an amazing quality and clarity of sound they are for the music lover. I would prefer if the headphones were wireless as I feel the wires can be restrictive. A definite turn off for some people will also be the price of $399.99, however they are a premium product and rightly demands a premium price tag.
